Staffing Update – Looking Ahead to the New School Year
We have some exciting changes coming next year that we are pleased to share with you.
As many of you are aware, Miss Simons will be retiring at the end of this academic year. We thank her for her incredible dedication and leadership, and we wish her all the very best in her retirement. Stepping into the role of Head Teacher will be Mr Davies, and we are confident he will continue to lead the school with vision and passion.
From September to March, Mrs Jenkins will be on secondment as ALN Performance Specialist – Primary, with the Local Authority. We congratulate her on this fantastic opportunity and look forward to welcoming her back later in the year.
To ensure a smooth transition, we have appointed two familiar faces to cover the vacancies left by Mr Davies and Mrs Jenkins. Miss Hogan, currently teaching in Bracelet, and Miss Martin, currently teaching in Oxwich, will be stepping into their new roles. Their experience and knowledge of the school will ensure continuity and a seamless transition for pupils and staff alike.
Our class structure will be:-
Pobbles Nursery am – Mrs Stewart & Mrs Coghlin
Pobbles Reception – Mrs Nicholas
Bracelet L – Mrs Lewis
Bracelet R – Mrs Roach
Bracelet B – Mrs Breeze
Caswell H – Mrs Howard
Caswell M – Miss Maliphant
Caswell N – Mr Newey
Oxwich E – Mrs Evans
Oxwich H – Mrs Hogan
Oxwich M – Miss Martin
We’re looking forward to another successful year ahead!
Battery Recycling – Thank You!
A HUGE thank you to everyone who has sent in batteries for recycling! Thanks to your efforts, we’ve saved an incredible 100kg of batteries from going to landfill. This is a fantastic achievement, and we may even be in with a chance to win some prizes for the school!
The competition will be running again next term, so please continue to save your used batteries and send them in periodically. Every battery counts!
Thank you for your continued support in helping us make a difference.

The sports day for the older children will be on Thursday 12th July at the Athletics & Hockey Centre, Swansea Bay Sports Park, Cwm Farm Lane, Sketty, SA2 9AU. Children should be brought to school as normal. They should wear their sports clothes, wear sun hats and sun cream if the weather is sunny, and bring a bottle of water. Mrs Breeze will be sending out more information. We will be back in school for time for lunch.
Change of Menu
We have a change of menu for Thursday 12th July. There will be a cold option of either a cheese wrap or a BBQ chicken wrap, served with a pizza slice and a jam split and a choice of fruit. You are welcome to provide a packed lunch instead.
PTA News
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Summer Fete: Eid Edition last week! It was wonderful to see so many families coming together to celebrate and learn more about Muslim culture and traditions. The Henna stall was incredibly popular, and the sweet and savoury treats, especially the pakoras and samosas, were a big hit!
Thanks to your generosity, we raised over £1,200 for the school, which will go towards much-needed new resources.
A special thank you goes out to our amazing volunteers, these events simply wouldn’t happen without you!
DJ Dan was brilliant as always, and we’re already looking forward to welcoming him back for our Autumn Disco in the new school year.
To celebrate the end of term, we’ll also be organising a free ice cream treat for all pupils during the last week of school.
