At Brynmill, it is our community vision that all children deserve the best start in life and everything we do should reflect this. Our approach as a ‘Community Focused School’ reflects the diversity of our community and creates an inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels welcomed, respected, supported and valued.
Families
Parents are important. They are their children’s first and most important educators and their engagement in their child’s education is crucial. Working closely with our families we will provide opportunities for them to develop their skills and confidence to actively support their child’s learning at home through our ‘Family Learning’ sessions and blended resources. By building strong partnerships with our families, we will continue to work in a constructive way to address any barriers to engagement and achieve high standards and aspirations for all.
Community
Brynmill is a key part of the local community, offering opportunities to use our ‘Brynmill Hub’ for activities that are co-ordinated by or in collaboration with the school. We are passionate about utilising the skills and facilities within the community to extend and enrich the learning opportunities for our children.
Multi-agency engagement
Through our Family Well-being team, we will collaborate effectively with other services to find solutions and share key information with our families so that they are able to access the appropriate support at the right time.
